Everyone has a place here. Where’s yours?
There are plenty of upcoming opportunities to find your place to connect, grow, and serve!
Come to a parish picnic
As we return to community this fall, Parish Picnics will provide an opportunity to reconnect with Third friends who live in your neighborhood or area and to get to know new faces (new covenant partners, new neighbors, new babies!). Look for more information coming directly from your Parish Area Leaders in your inbox.
Visit a parish group
Parish Groups are intentional communities of neighbors committed to following Jesus and extending his mission in a specific area. Our groups are open and intergenerational and located across the Richmond region. Most groups are re-engaging for the year in September. Find a Parish Group near you, and reach out to the leaders.
Attend a Sunday school class
Our dedicated Sunday school hour at 10:00 a.m. is a great way to deepen your knowledge and understanding of God, while meeting friends and building relationships here at Third.
Tutor immigrant and refugee students
This important and vibrant program matches volunteers with a child to meet with every week on Wednesday evenings. We are recruiting nearly 100 tutors, and are looking for subs to step in when tutors can’t be there. No experience is necessary so please consider serving!
Find community through service
Each Sunday and throughout the week, there are many opportunities to serve your Third community and our neighbors. Serving on a team is a wonderful way to care for those around you, pursue faithfulness, and be a part of the fabric of this community! Learn more about all the different ways to serve, and sign up to learn more.
Explore covenant partnership
Are you interested in learning more about Third Church and becoming a Covenant Partner? Please join us for this class! You’ll hear about our mission and vision as a church, our core beliefs and theology, and our denomination’s (ECO) polity. You’ll hear from Corey, Ed, and other leaders and covenant partners, all while building community with your class of newcomers.
Got kids in 5-12th grade?
Fifth and sixth graders are invited to join us for Club 56 meetings on Wednesday nights on the first floor of Regency. We’ll begin the year together with a big dinner on September 4 at 6:00 p.m.
Middle and high school students will begin their Sunday night gatherings on Sunday nights from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m., starting August 25.
The move to 600 Forest Avenue
This Fall, Third Church will be leaving our beloved space at Regency to move back into our renovated building at 600 Forest Avenue that has been under construction for the last two years.
