Holy Week 2022

Join Us: April 10-17

Opportunities to experience and reflect on Christ’s suffering and resurrection

Maundy Thursday

Thursday, April 14, 7:00 p.m.
Sanctuary and Livestreamed

Our Maundy Thursday service will follow Jesus’s passion from the Last Supper, to his trial, conviction, crucifixion, death, and burial through the reading of the Gospel of Matthew and musical reflection.

This service will be in the tradition of “tenebrae,” which is Latin for “darkness”. As we move through the story and closer to Christ’s death, the service and the Sanctuary itself will become darker through the snuffing of candles.

Journey to the Cross

Good Friday, April 15, 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
600 Forest Avenue

Come and experience this multi-sensory and artistic exploration of Jesus' journey to the cross from the perspectives of those who encountered him those last few days.

Spread out through interior and exterior spaces, people can expect to experience, participate, reflect and respond at their own pace and level of comfort. Come with your family, friends, or neighbors on Good Friday to walk through the powerful scenes and meditate on Christ’s final hours.

The Journey experience is self-guided, so come and walk it at your own pace.

Easter Sunday

Sunday, April 17
Services at 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 a.m.
Livestreamed & in the Sanctuary, 600 Forest Avenue

All of our faith and all of our hope rests on this: the Resurrection. Join us in the celebration on Easter Sunday, for the Lamb has conquered death, triumphed over evil, and reigns in victory! This is the good news and we are invited in to this joy together.

  • All 3 services will be held in Sanctuary, and will be livestreamed as well.

  • Overflow available in the Fellowship Hall.

  • We do expect the 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. services to be very full, so please plan to come early or attend the 8:00 a.m. service.

  • We will not have any Sunday school classes (for children or adults) on Easter Sunday. However, childcare will still be available for kindergarten and younger during each service.
