Give to Ukrainian Relief Efforts

We’ve witnessed a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Indiscriminate violence is placing innocent lives in danger, and we wonder what we can do? We can give, and we can pray. Below are listed three organizations we endorse with descriptions of their humanitarian efforts. You’ll find helpful guides to focus your attention on prayer and for God’s intervention.

Samaritan’s Purse has established an emergency Field Hospital on the outskirts of Lviv, in western Ukraine, to care for those suffering as war rages on. They've set up a 24-hr medical clinic at a train station in Lviv. In Moldova, they've set up a mobile medical unit at a large stadium. They have dispersed disaster response specialists to Ukraine, Poland, Romania, and Moldova.

The Outreach Foundation, our mission partner, works with churches and organizations in the Eastern Europe region to provide aid. In Lviv, the Ukrainian Catholic Church receives funding to assist those fleeing and those staying in the country. In Poland, a seminary in Warsaw houses Ukrainian refugees. In Lithuania, City Church is caring for refugees by sheltering them both in the church and homes of congregation members. Funds supply food, water, medicine, clothes, and more.

Our mission partner, International Cooperating Ministries (ICM), our church helped ICM establish Hope Centers in Eastern Europe. Today, ICM provides aid through a network of churches and Hope Centers scattered across western Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, and Romania. These churches and Hope Centers are executing plans to aid a growing flood of refugees fleeing Ukraine. They are a beacon of hope, providing words of encouragement and sharing the Gospel.

PRAY FOR THE CRISIS IN UKRAINE

We pray for God's powerful intervention in this horrendous situation. Take a look at these prompts from the European Evangelical Alliance to help guide your prayers in this time.

Please also keep our mission partners Lyle and Diana Thomas in your prayers. The Thomases' began their ministry in St. Petersburg, Russia, in 2007. Due to safety concerns with the Ukraine war, they've temporarily left St. Petersburg and are stateside. We ask for our prayers for them as they discern the following steps, especially concerning returning to Russia. Third mission dollars are assisting in their transition.
