The Refugee and Immigrant Tutoring program, started in 2005, assists area immigrant students in their academic success by helping them with homework assignments.
Most of our students are fairly proficient in English, but often their parents are not, so they are very grateful for the one-on-one support. No experience is necessary, training and resources are provided, so please consider serving!
WHEN WILL TUTORING HAPPEN?
Wednesday evenings
September 18–November 20 & January 15–March 26
6:45 - 7:45 p.m.
For fall semester: First Floor of Regency Space (but please enter through second floor main doors!)
For spring semester: Meet at the church at 600 Forest Ave.
WHO DOES THIS PROGRAM SERVE?
We have 85+ students from mostly an Arabic background. Many are involved with the Christian Arabic Church, but others are children of other local immigrants and refugees.
We serve all age ranges of children from Kindergarten through High School students. We’ll help you find the right match!
