Join us as we partner with CARITAS and their ministry of The Healing Place.
Together, we’ll serve men living at The Healing Place, a long-term residential recovery program, September 28 - October 4.
This fall our Third Church community will provide support with Caritas through their men’s ministry, Healing Place, established in 2006 as a long-term peer-driven residential recovery program.
We will be a part of what is called a “Bridge Week.”
For 2019 we will be starting our Bridge Week engagement in several ways.
PREPPING LUNCHES: Four times during the week we will be prepping lunches (kid-friendly activity) at Third’s kitchen. We need a delivery driver each of those four days to get the lunches from Third to The Healing Place.
ACTIVITY NIGHT: We will have an activity night at The Healing Place (participants must be 18 years or older).
CLEANING KITS: Finally, we have committed to make 25 cleaning kits for Caritas to give their clients who are placed in new homes so they can have a fresh start. All of the donations will be gathered from Sept 8 to September 27. Club 56 will be assembling the kits on September 29 and we’ll deliver them to Caritas.
