Which Parish Area you live in? City North

If you could describe your pandemic experience in 3 words, which would you choose? Repetitive, Introspective, Exercise

How do you serve on Thursday nights at Third? On Thursday nights (when we record our Sunday services), I will either run one of the cameras or make sure the graphics are running correctly (liturgy, song lyrics, sermon slides).

What do you enjoy or appreciate about serving in this way? It's a great way to stay connected to people at Third. My favorite part is watching the livestream on Sunday and knowing I was able to help make it possible.

What do you want to share with the Third community about what you’ve learned or witnessed during these experiences? Everyone has gifts that they can use. If you know what they are, try to volunteer. If you don't, try to volunteer and you can figure out how to best use your gifts. When I volunteer, I help the church accomplish its goals and I get to further connect to people at Third. For me, I'm not always great at small talk but I love to work beside people and get to know them.

What do you think this time has afforded us that we wouldn’t be doing or seeing otherwise?  The value of connection and community. This time has provided us with the opportunity to feel lonely and disconnected from people. This will be important as we remember that many people feel like this all the time, even before the pandemic. Remember those feelings of loneliness and look for people in our church and community who may need just one person to reach out and have a conversation with them. As we get back to "normal," try to be that person who actively looks to meet new people and invests in them each week.

What is your prayer for our church community right now? That we can focus on looking for those who feel disconnected and help be that connection. Also, that we would look for opportunities to use the gifts God gave us, whether that be at Third or around our community.
