Jim Singleton: What Can You Expect of a Clay Pot and a Treasure?

Service of Installation of Corey Widmer as Third's Lead Pastor

On Sunday afternoon February 22nd, the people of Third Church gathered in the Sanctuary for a service of worship to install Rev. Corey J. Widmer as our Lead Pastor.  In addition to music by Third's own choirs and musicians, an offering of praise was made by worship leader and saxophonist David Bailey, and charges to Corey and the congregation were given by friends from around the Richmond church community and beyond.  The message on 2 Corinthians 4:1-7 was delivered by Corey's friend and mentor (who has long and personal ties with Third Church, himself), Rev. Dr. Jim Singleton, Associate Professor of Pastoral Leadership and Evangelism at Gordon-Conwell Seminary.
