Join our nearly 100 tutors in this amazing program!

Since 2005, this program has served area immigrant students! Volunteers are matched with a child to meet with weekly, therefore building relationships with both them and their family. Volunteers can also be on a sub list to come when it works in their schedule.

Most of our students are fairly proficient in English, but often their parents are not, so they are very grateful for the one-on-one support in assisting them with their homework. No experience is necessary so please consider serving!

WHEN DOES TUTORING HAPPEN?

  • Wednesday evenings, 6:45 – 7:45 p.m.

  • September 18–November 20 and January 15–March 26

  • First Floor of Regency Space (but please enter through second floor main doors!)

WHO DOES THIS PROGRAM SERVE?

We have 100+ students from many different backgrounds and nationalities. Some are involved with the Christian Arabic Church, but many are local immigrants and refugees, maybe new to the area!

We serve all age ranges of children from Kindergarten through High School students. We’ll help you find the right match!

Training for tutors

One training session is required for all tutors, but we'll have a shorter track for experienced tutors. Both training options will be in the lower level of Regency and are scheduled for:

  • Saturday, September 7, from 10:30-12:30

  • Wednesday, September 11, from 6:30-8:30 pm
