Our Path Forward: Introduction and Survey Results

Dear Third family,

The “pause” that the pandemic forced us to take has given us an opportunity to reconsider and review how we’re living. We’re asking the question in our current sermon series, “what is the good life?” But it’s a similar question to what we’ve been asking for our community too: what do we want to return to? How can we thoughtfully reconsider what we’ve done and build on where we see the Holy Spirit at work?

Over the next month, we’ll be posting every Wednesday (sending via email as well!) an important update for you to know about life at Third as we head into the fall. We’ll hear updates from Parish life, discipleship, family and student ministry, and more.

Much of this work is responsive to what we’ve heard from you, our church family–what we’ve heard from you through surveys, in our parish groups, in our various ministry areas, and on our leadership teams. To that end, I’ve attached an overview of the responses from the congregational survey we shared in April. I hope you take a few minutes to read through it. We’ll be sharing more on the topics found there in the weeks to come.

As we return to a fuller expression of our church life together, we hope you can find rich opportunities to grow, be discipled, and find community and places to serve and reach our neighbors with the love of Christ. We are hopeful and expectant for what the Holy Spirit is doing. I hope you join us.

Grace and Peace of Christ+
