Fretful Porcupine: Joining us in Worship

On Sunday morning, January 24th, our friends The Fretful Porcupine will be joining us for worship. We are welcoming them back to Richmond for another short-term residency on the intersection of creativity, conversation and community.

The duo of songwriter/fiddler Jake Armerding and saxophonist/creative catalyst Kevin Gosa play “roots chamber music” that hovers at the intersection of hymns, traditional and bluegrass, and jazz improvisation. They perform with a variety of other ensembles, as well as leading worship and teaching musicianship skills and how to understand music as an embodied community, rather than a commodity or background noise.

We hope you join us for this special worship offering during our regularly scheduled Sunday morning services!

If you want to hear more about Fretful Porcupine, and what they'll be doing while they're here, contact Mark Sprinkle.
