Although our February Term looks a bit different this year due to the Renew Campaign, we’re excited to bring Don Everts to Third this weekend. Over the course of Saturday and Sunday, Don will be offering different opportunities to grow our understanding of becoming witnesses in practical and approachable ways. Please join us for one or all of these engaging sessions with Don.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 1
Developing Spiritually Vibrant Households
9:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Fellowship Hall
Don Evert’s Barna-backed Research shows that the following three things: Spiritual practices, Spiritual conversations and Hospitality contribute to a thoughtful, transformative faith that holds up and is passed down over time. Come learn how your household (family with kids, single, with roommates, or empty nesters) can become a place that produces and passes along a transformative faith.
Delighting in Spiritual Conversations
1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Fellowship Hall
We desire all of the Third family to delight in having spiritual conversations with unchurched neighbors, family and co-workers. But how do you do this? This is the question we will be tackling on Saturday afternoon in our session. There is a powerful and simple tool that unpacks the three spiritual postures people have towards Christianity and how we as Christians can graciously adapt our conversations to be most helpful for them based on their posture: either in gaining a hearing, giving good news, or guiding toward faith.
This session is not to be missed—it will equip you with practical, tangible, and simple ways you can move towards your friends and family with the good news of Christ.
Sunday, February 2
Becoming Eager Witnesses
10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Fellowship Hall
Don will join us our only Sunday February Term class where all of our regular Sunday school classes will pause so we can meet as one community to learn together. Don and his team will be unpacking the most important elements of his book, The Reluctant Witness, and what it means for our discipleship.
No RSVP needed!
